The 8th International Conference on Education and Multimedia Technology (ICEMT 2024) has been successfully held in Tokyo, Japan from June 22-24, 2024. ICEMT 2024 is sponsored and supported by Waseda University, Japan; Tokyo University of Technology, Japan and Sunway University, Malaysia. It united under the compelling theme, "Education and Multimedia Technology: Bridging the Gap" seeks to explore the uncharted territories of learning and technology. The conference united 94 participants and 16 delegates from diverse backgrounds, representing 38 different countries and regions (China, Indonesia, the Philippines, Finland, the United Kingdom, Macau, Australia, India, Italy, Uzbekistan, Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, Mexico, Sweden, Lithuania, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Malaysia, the United States, Nigeria, Croatia, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Spain, Israel, Vietnam, Brazil, Morocco, Estonia, Turkey, Ecuador, Canada, Cyprus, Egypt, Singapore, Pakistan, and Colombia.). This international convergence of intellects reflects the universal significance of our conference theme and our shared dedication to sculpting the future of education. It featured a blend of keynote speeches, invited talks, interactive presentations, and a poster session.

Conference Committee Chair, Prof. Benjamin W. Wah host the opening ceremony and morning keynote session. He expressed his sincere gratitude to the co-organizers and warm welcome to all the experts and scholars attending the conference. This gathering comprises 86 participants and 13 listeners from diverse backgrounds, representing 18 different countries and regions. ICEMT 2024 Conference proceedings published by ACM (ISBN: 979-8-4007-1761-1). It will be included in the ACM Digital Library and indexed by Ei Compendex and Scopus.
